Junior Staff Accountant - Full-Cycle Accounts Payable

Location: On Site
Schedule: Full-time
Compensation: $25 - $27 per hr.


About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations with a primary focus on full-cycle Accounts Payable. Candidates with experience in banking or financial services are strongly preferred. This role is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who is ready to grow, learn, and support a fast-paced finance team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs
  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate AP records and documentation
  • Assist with month-end close (accruals, reconciliations, journal entries)
  • Support cash management and banking transactions
  • Assist with reporting, audits, and general accounting tasks as needed
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate processing

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of accounting or Accounts Payable experience
  • Strong understanding of the AP cycle and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in banking, credit unions, or financial services
  • Exposure to cash management or treasury support
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks)
  • Interest in growing into broader accounting responsibilities
